The deadline for submitting signed entry/waiver forms and paying entry fees is the appropriate dancers' meeting identified in paragraphs 13 and 14 under Contest Information. However, remember that several divisions have a limit on the number of entries (see the table under paragraph 35 in Contest Information). Entry forms for those divisions will be accepted in the order received, and we encourage you to submit entries for all divisions (except Jack & Jills) in advance of the event to secure your spot and to help us plan and pre-enter the data into our computer for purposes of scoring, etc.
You may submit your entries (i) by completing the relevant information below and then hitting the "Send It" key, (ii) by printing out this page and mailing the completed form to Terry Rippa at the address below, or (iii) by completing the entry/waiver form included in the hard copy of a Dallas D.A.N.C.E. flyer.
If you choose to submit this page electronically, it is very important that you enter your email address in the appropriate blank below so that we may confirm your entry details with you and clear up any questions.
The entry fee for each division (except Cabaret and Swing Teams) is $20 per person. The entry fee for Cabaret is $50 per entry (regardless of the number of performers that make up the entry). The entry fee for Swing Teams is $100 per team.
Although it is not necessary to pay your divisional entry fees in advance of the event, those of you who prefer to do so may either submit a check for your entry fees (made payable to the Dallas Push Club), plus a completed waiver form to Terry Rippa, 502 Lakeside, Mesquite, TX 75149, or provide Terry with your credit card number (tel. 214-526-8889) .
Dallas D.A.N.C.E. offers a wide range of competitions in an effort to accommodate the various styles of the swing dancers from around the United States. Please take into consideration your music, styling and attire when selecting an appropriate category of competition. The level and quality of "Push/Whip/Swing" should be appropriate for the contest entered. (Lindy, Carolina Shag, Jamaican, Bop, Imperial, Jive & D.C. Hand Dancing are considered Swing.) It is the responsibility of contestants to read and understand the contest information or seek competent assistance in doing so.
Both members of a couple and all members of a Swing Team or Cabaret entry must complete a waiver form:
WAIVER
I understand it is the intention of the Dallas Push Club to have my participation in the Dallas D.A.N.C.E. recorded on video tape and DVD, file, and photographs and I expressly agree to and grant Dallas D.A.N.C.E. the unlimited right and authority to use any recording of my participation in the aforementioned contest in any and all media, in perpetuity, in whatever manner and by whatever means, without any obligation to me. Such recordings become the sole property of the Dallas Push Club.
I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators waive and release any and all rights for damage I might have against the Dallas Push Club for any and all injuries and damages which may be suffered by me in participation in the competition and any traveling to and from the competition locations. I have read the contest information and this waiver, understand them, and agree to comply with them.
