Overview of the Dallas D.A.N.C.E. Championships

It's America's biggest Swing dance competition!

EVERYTHING is BIG in Texas.  That includes Swing.  And if J.R. Ewing could dance, he'd be impressed with what the folks in Dallas do when they host a Swing dance competition.

Start with the 18,000 sf Regency Ballroom, add a 5,000 sf dance floor, include an 80 ft skyline backdrop, offer open seating, bring in the best competitors in the country, sprinkle-in some great music by top national deejays, charge just $65 for all of this - and then watch 1,500 dancers beat a path to your door.  That's Dallas D.A.N.C.E.!

How popular is this event?  Well, it's been going since 1987 and it attracts dancers from everywhere in America.  And it's growing in size and scope.  It's the largest single Swing dance event in the United States.  In addition, Dallas D.A.N.C.E. is a prestigious member of the World Swing Dance Council, the National Association of Swing Dance Events and the USA Swing Dance Network.  All the Top Pros consider this an essential stop on the National Tour.

Dallas D.A.N.C.E. features a total of up to $28,000 in prize money and awards, 16 competitive divisions, 8 dance workshops, and a huge Jack & Jill division that caters to every skill level.  And the Cabaret division is loaded with wide-ranging talent that serves as a musical-variety show unto itself.  It alone is worth the price of admission.

So, if you like world-class dance performances, great social dance music, several hundred partners to choose from, a dance floor as big as Texas, and accommodations at one of the finest facilities in the country - come to the fabulous Fairmont Hotel in downtown Dallas on Labor Day Weekend.  At just $85 it's clearly the best Swing dance value in America!
